While the weather may still be unpredictable, spring is coming to North Florida with the arrival of two Home Shows in the area. On March 2-3, take the family up to the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Lake City for the North Florida Home and Patio Show, an event founded by the Rotary Club of Lake City Downtown. Like all events the club hosts, the proceeds from the NFHPS will go to several different local charities. Tour booths devoted to all sorts of home-based industries, from pools and spas, to landscaping, to contractors. Show times for the event are from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

The following weekend, March 9-10, head to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center located at the University of Florida in Gainesville for the 14^th Annual North Central Florida Home & Garden Show, presented by the Builders Association of North Central Florida and The Gainesville Sun. This show will not only feature products and services related to home improvement, landscaping, remodeling, decorating, home sales and more, but will include information seminars and how-to clinics. Come have questions answered and get new home improvement ideas from local experts and service providers. The event will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Admission is $4 per person and free for children 16 and under.
