With the New Year ahead, it’s not unlikely that you’ve started thinking about your New Year resolutions: time to get in shape before swimsuit season, spend more time with family and less time at work, or even break habits like smoking. But, what about your financial well-being? This year, we want to help motivate you with the My Money Resolution Challenge. Create a short movie (between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long) explaining how you’re going to change your finances for the better this year. Will you stop going to the coffee shop every morning? Will you start eating out less? Will you take the first steps to chip away at that student loan? Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!
To enter, you need to post your video onto YouTube and fill out an entry form on the FCU Facebook page. We’ll be accepting submissions through February 7, 2013. At that point, we’ll decide on our 3 favorite entries and post them on our Facebook page for YOU and everyone you know to vote on. The popular winner will take home a grand prize of a $250 FCU Visa Gift Card! We’ll announce the winner on March 4, 2013.
For the entries, we’ll be looking for creativity, diversity and originality. You must be 18 to enter the competition and you must adhere to all rules, regulations and specifications found here. All videos must be loaded onto YouTube before entering the contest; help about the posting process can be found here.
Now, get those cameras ready and start showing us what your money resolution is!
